How to use these SAT math calculators
The Digital SAT math section has two adaptive modules and covers four domains: Algebra, Advanced Math, Problem-Solving and Data Analysis, and Geometry and Trigonometry. The calculators on this page are grouped the same way, so you can go straight from a practice question to the formula it uses.
A graphing calculator is built into the test app for every math question, and many questions are fastest to solve by graphing: the intersection of two lines solves a system, the x-intercepts of a parabola are its roots and the turning point is its vertex. Each calculator here gives the exact answer, usually as a fraction or radical, which is the form SAT grid-in answers and answer choices use.
Use the calculators to check your own working, not to replace it. Every page shows the formula with your numbers substituted, so you can see the step where your answer differs. The score tools at the end convert between the SAT and ACT with the official concordance and work out a superscore and GPA for college applications.
