Magnetic Flux Converter
Magnetic Flux Converter: convert between 4 magnetic flux units, for example 1 Mx = 1 × 10⁻⁸ Wb.
| Unit | Value |
|---|---|
| maxwell to weber | 1 × 10⁻⁸ Wb |
| maxwell to milliweber | 0.00001 mWb |
| maxwell to microweber | 0.01 µWb |
| maxwell (Mx) | 1 Mx |
Convert between weber, milliweber, microweber and maxwell. The maxwell is the CGS unit of flux: 1 Mx = 10⁻⁸ Wb exactly, and 1 G = 1 Mx/cm².
Magnetic Flux unit definitions
- weber (Wb)
- The weber is the SI unit of magnetic flux (Φ): the flux that induces one volt in a single-turn loop when it falls to zero in one second. Flux = flux density × area, so 1 Wb = 1 T·m².
- milliweber (mWb)
- The milliweber is one thousandth of a weber, a practical size for flux in transformer and motor cores.
- maxwell (Mx)
- The maxwell is the CGS unit of magnetic flux, one gauss over one square centimetre, exactly 10⁻⁸ weber. Older texts call it a "line" of flux.
- microweber (µWb)
- The microweber is one millionth of a weber. Fluxmeters measuring permanent magnets often read in µWb.
